When supplied in mild steel the Greyhound heart when left to the elements will rust organically, giving you the opportunity to watch them transform right before your eyes into a lovely item of rustic décor. If you would like to keep the mild steel look, then applying a clear coat of lacquer or an 'oily rag' finish will help prevent rusting. Supplied in mild steel also gives you the option to paint the Greyhound heart in a colour of your choice to match your own garden décor
